Hello, I, similarly to previous comments, am an arts graduate based in glasgow. I would love to attend this conference but i am not in full time employment or have the funds at the moment to pay for the full price ticket. I have been building an interest in conservation with contemporary art for some time and thought this might be an opportunity to investigate this interest further, possibly with the potential to look to training professionally in this field in the future. Would i also fall into the concession rate category?

Hi I would love to go to this conference as it relates to my area of interest. I am an artist who has hust completed a masters degree from the National College of Art & Design in Dublin Ireland. Is there any funding available or special rates for people like me ( am considering applying to do a phd in the near future)

Dear Ladies and Gentleman,

We are contacting you today as the organization committee sofea (Students Organization for Extracurricular Activities) of the upcoming IIC Students & Emerging Conservators Conference which will take place the 12thand 13th of October at the University of the Arts in Bern (Switzerland).

This will be the 4th iteration of this conference series, which is addressed to and organized by students of conservation and restoration. The conference, titled “Head, Hands & Heart”, is divided into three sessions which refer to the diverse skills and knowledge of a professional conservator. We use our heads for scientific research, our hands to restore art and cultural heritage and our hearts to communicate our intentions with passion.

One idea of the IIC Students and Emerging Conservators Conferences is to allow the participation of as many students as possible. Therefore, we try to spread this message all over the world and write to universities, schools and academies encompassing Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. We are also going to set up a livestream and include questions coming from students watching the discussion online.

We would be very happy if you could support us and transfer this information including the + save the date + text to your students, and give them the possibility to join this event. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the conference or its topics.
